GP Locum Opportunities

Ad Hoc & Long-Term (2–7 Sessions per Week)

Due to increasing clinical demand, we are looking to expand our pool of Locum GPs and welcome applications from doctors seeking either ad hoc sessions or a longer term locum position (2–7 sessions per week).

Whether you're looking for occasional flexible work or a regular locum commitment, we'd love to hear from you.

Located in spacious, modern premises in the heart of Putney, we are a large, friendly, supportive and progressive GP training practice with excellent transport links into central London and the surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a Locum GP, you will: 

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based care to registered patients. 
  • Manage a balanced and appropriate clinical workload. 
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team. 
  • Participate in clinical governance and team meetings (for long-term locums). 
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and excellent patient care. 

About Putneymead Group Medical Practice

We care for approximately 23,000 patients and have a highly experienced multidisciplinary team comprising:

  • 23 GPs
  • 4 Physician Associates
  • 4 Practice Nurses
  • 3 Healthcare Assistants
  • 4 Clinical Pharmacist

We work in small clinical teams to promote continuity of care while maintaining a collaborative and supportive working environment.
